The focus of Calvary Christian Athletics, first and foremost, is to develop athletes who express exceptional character on and off the field. Coaches motivate our athletes to strive for their best, while also allowing players to develop without fear of failure. The crucial skills and character these students build through athletic competition carry further into life, as they positively impact their world for Christ.
CCS 5th and 6th grade students can participate in a wide variety of sports including: girls’ and boys’ basketball, boys’ flag football, girls’ volleyball and co-ed soccer. Junior high students can participate in boys’ flag football, girls’ softball, and girls’ and boys’ volleyball, basketball, and soccer. Additionally, CCS has elementary (grades 4-6) and junior high (grades 7-8) cheer teams.
As 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 says, "...Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize."
