History of CCS
Calvary Christian School was established in 1975 as a ministry of Calvary Church of Santa Ana. Calvary Christian Preschool then began in 1976. The school was established under Pastor Michael Samsvick's leadership for the purpose of providing a Christian-based education for its families. Since its inception, the school has reached past the church family and now positively impacts the community with excellent Christian-based education for preschool through eighth grade.
The campus is situated on nine acres of land located in the city of Santa Ana, which is primarily a business community with a population of approximately 300,000. The diverse buildings contain approximately 181,000 square feet. Calvary Christian School is an integral ministry of Calvary Church of Santa Ana. A cooperative and mutually beneficial relationship exists between the school and church. The school facilities consist of four classroom buildings, a fellowship hall, chapel, gym/family center, one modular unit, and a worship center with seating capacity of 2,800. The facilities provide sufficient space and resources for all classes and programs. The facilities also include a functional office complex which houses the administrative offices, teacher workrooms, kitchen, and library. The playground areas are spacious and attractive and provide adequate space for outdoor activities.
Our school has shown a consistently strong academic program. Our experienced, qualified faculty, provide an excellent spiritual and academic education for the students. The students, faculty, staff, and parents demonstrate dedication to each other and the school. We praise God for the spirit of unity and His blessings which we experience daily.
